First Day

Today was my last, first day of school. Naturally, I had to take a first day of school picture. I am currently at the VA Hospital in Seattle working in the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit. The service is primarily for people with various types of Leukemia in which stem cell transplant is the best hope for a cure. Much of the day is spent trying to alleviate the side-effects of chemotherapy, and immune reactions to donor stem cells to prevent rejection.

Slightly harder to get a picture by the front door without someone to take the picture.
